Officers have arrested a man from Kentucky for multiple offenses, including the murder of his partner. Troopers reportedly found a written list of things to do at the crime scene, which included disposing of a body.

What happened: According to a report by WKYT, 39-year-old Damian Poole was reported missing by his mother on September 9. He lived with his partner, Daniel Kearney, in a camper on Farm Ridge Road.
- The Kentucky State Police reportedly obtained a search warrant for the property. Per FOX 56, officers searched the residence on September 12 and found what they believed to be Poole’s body. The outlet explains that investigators believe Poole had been deceased for “multiple days.” They found him covered in blankets with two bullet wounds to the head.
- Officers recalled a grisly scene where they reportedly found several bullet holes, multiple guns, and numerous pools of blood. They also found an “AR-style rifle.” Per FOX 56, neighbors told authorities that the couple often fought, and they sometimes heard gunshots. They also noted that they had not seen Poole in a while.
- Authorities said the couple originally moved to McCreary County from Colorado.
Police Reportedly Found A Checklist At The Camper
An incriminating list: Law enforcement found a checklist the suspect allegedly wrote after shooting his partner. It included cleaning up the camper, getting rid of evidence, and disposing of the body, per WKYT.
- FOX 56 provides more details on the list, revealing the lengths the suspect was willing to go to conceal the alleged crime. One entry reportedly said to paint everything with an odor sealant called Kilz. The list also detailed burning any incriminating items and scattering the ashes along roadways across multiple states.
- The outlet notes that Kentucky State Police arrested Kearney on Friday at around 3 AM. Authorities are charging him with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence. He also faces a second-degree cruelty to animals charge owing to two deceased pets found at the residence.
Kearney is held at the Knox County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
