The Twitch streamer is well-loved by over 7.6 million followers, racking up huge numbers with his regular broadcasts. But it was almost all cut short when he started to notice a health issue. During a broadcast in September, he opened up about a scare he had only a week or so before.
Late Night Palpitations: The Twitch streamer explained that, as he tried to sleep in Las Vegas, he began having heart-related issues. As TimTheTatman lay in bed with his partner, his chest hurt, and he could feel palpitations.
- He got out of bed, but the problems persisted, pushing him to book himself into the ER. It transpired that he had a very irregular and very rapid heart rhythm. According to the streamer, the doctor told him his heart was beating at 170 bpm.
Desperate Measures
Despite being given medicine to attempt to slow his heart, the streamer said that it didn’t help. Instead, they had to resort to something a little more drastic in an attempt to get his heart under control. With his permission, the hospital attempted to shock his heart and reset its rate.
- Thankfully, this measure worked, and he was able to return home with a regular heartbeat. But it was a real wake-up call for TimTheTatman. As the Twitch streamer told his viewers, his mum had passed away from heart-related issues.
- At only 40, she had suffered a heart attack. Only ten years later, she had died. This was an emotional moment for the online personality, and it brought him to tears as he shared his sorrow.

Heart issues are often hereditary, and so some people need to take extra care of their health. This is the case for Twitch streamer TimTheTatman, and his recent problem with his heart was a reminder of that.
- Sometimes in life, I think God hits you with a wake-up call, and I think that was my wake-up call,” he said in an emotional outburst to his viewers. “I don’t want to get emotional with y’all, sorry. There was obviously a lot of emotion.”
