A woman trying to make a living as a delivery driver was accosted by a Texas Karen, demanding she speak her language and go back to Mexico.

The woman, who is clearly frustrated with something she doesn’t understand, has fallen for the anti-immigration rhetoric and pointed her anger at a Latina trying to earn her keep. Cris Scandela was picking up some orders from a Flower Mound Walmart; meanwhile, unknown to her, she was pursued by the angry Texas Karen.
Midguided Hate: For unknown reasons, 58-year-old Tonya Chadwell took issue with her harmless career choice. Spotting the woman across the parking lot, she made a beeline. After Scandela got into her car, she unwound the window.
- Chadwell was waiting. Full of vitriol for the woman, she immediately began her tirade. Hoping to disuade the woman from a racial attack, the delivery driver began to film the Texas Karen. But it was in vain.
- “You’re an illegal, and you don’t live in Flower Mound,” the woman begins. “You’re doordashing,” she continues. “Why are you entitled to be here with an illegal car? No speak English?” she says to the delivery driver, who was clearly speaking English. Instead, she continues to berate her.
The woman continues, leaving the delivery driver speechless. It’s impossible for her to get a word in edgewise as Chadwell continues spewing her racist, misinformed ignorance through the woman’s window.

Family Shame at Racist Mother
Following this, the video went viral after hitting social media. The Flower Mound community collectively groaned as they say one of their residents embarrassing the name of their Texan town. Furthermore, the local mayor and her own daughter spoke up, condemning the woman’s actions. Consequently, they made it clear that her racist opinions were not shared.
- “I would like to start off by sincerely apologizing to this woman for having to experience this and for the public having to watch this. I am completely and utterly embarrassed and saddened by my mother’s actions and do not condone or support this kind of behavior at all,” her daughter shared
- “As a matter of fact, my mother and I have not had a relationship or been on speaking terms for quite a while due to this type of behavior, aggression, and her racism towards my Hispanic boyfriend. I wish to not be associated with her or this video in any way.”
This kind of racist behaviour splits up families. People become brainwashed into believing that immigrants, legal or otherwise, are the cause of their woes.
