Jon Corkran, 32, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked Thursday on $25,000 bail, according to an arrest affidavit.
John Brillowski told police that he had just merged onto U.S. 183 near Anderson Mill Drive, when he noticed Corkran, 32, speed up and move in front of his vehicle, according to an arrest affidavit. Brillowski said Corkran pulled in front of him, causing him to rear-end Corkran.
Brillowski said that after the crash Corkran pulled behind him on the freeway and was pointing a gun at him from inside his car.
Brillowski said he was too nervous to pull over and decided to call 911 and continue driving.
After calling 911, police were able to stop both cars and pull them to the side of the road. Police found a 9 mm pistol in the glove compartment of Corkran’s car, according to the affidavit.
Corkran was not shown in custody Monday morning.
