According to US Weekly, Paris police have determined that Kim Kardashian West’s stolen jewelry, including her engagement ring, are lost forever.

A source claims that the estimated $10 million of jewelry stolen from the starlet back in October has already been either melted down or recut and sold on the black market. Authorities reportedly also believe that the 15-digit code and the Adidas logo that her husband Kanye West engraved on the engagement ring’s band were removed.

Kardashian West may have been holding onto hope that some of her jewels would be returned, especially after Paris police charged 10 people in connection to the heist. It’s more likely that the stolen jewels were transported to Antwerp, Belgium, which is the diamond trade capital of Europe. Two of those arrested in the theft spent a significant amount of time there after the robbery.

Kim kept an unusually low profile in the aftermath of the armed robbery, staying off social media for three months before returning to her earlier this year. A recent trip to Dubai was her first public appearance since the incident; she has an upcoming cameo appearance in the film Ocean’s Eight, which ironically centers around a jewel heist.
