Renowned actress Meryl Streep made waves when, during an acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award she received at the Golden Globes on Sunday, she took direct aim at President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump has since responded by calling Streep “over-rated” and denying that he “mocked” a disabled reporter, dismissing Streep as a “Hillary flunky who lost big.”

But the president-elect wasn’t the only one responding after being mentioned in Streep’s speech.
UFC president Dana White, who spoke at the Republican National Convention and endorsed Trump, took issue with Streep’s comments about mixed martial arts.
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners, and if we kick ’em all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts,” Streep said.
White reacted by calling Streep an “uppity 80-year-old lady.”

“I’m not a big fan of golf — that doesn’t mean people should stop watching it. If you don’t like it, change the channel,” he added. “Saying something stupid like that is like saying she’s not a talented actress, which she is.”
Bellator CEO Scott Coker followed suit, as did UFC reporter Megan Olivi.

Really weird to see someone talk about not discriminating then basically discriminate against an entire group of skilled, hard working ppl.
