She then went on to share a childhood pic of herself. Looking shy and even somewhat homely, Lauren reminded all of her Twitter followers that she has come a long, long way. “This is proof that we all have hope,” she wrote with the Throwback Thursday pic.

Embracing your own individuality runs through Lauren’s new album “Road Less Traveled,” which is set for release on Jan. 27.
