If you’re going to get pulled over for going more than 100 MPH, you should at least have a good excuse for it. This Florida man did not.

There are a few reasons that smashing through 100 MPH would be acceptable on the highway. If you’re rushing someone in labour to the hospital, for instance, or you’re five seconds away from making a mess in your pants. The latter may be disputed. However, one Florida man gave a terrible reason for his excessive speeding.
Fresh Trim: When questioned by the cop during his 100 MPH traffic stop, the man stated that his excuse was a haircut. As heard in the body cam footage, he said he was running late for a hair appointment.
- This wasn’t good enough for the traffic cop. he was unimpressed and scolded the man for his excessive speed and dangerous driving. A haircut isn’t a good enough reason to endanger others’ lives.
Going To Miss His Appointment
As a result, the man was arrested. He was taken into the police station and charged with excessive speeding. As the cop highlighted, he had been weaving in and out of traffic in excess of 100 MPH. He was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. But, he didn’t stay long. He was able to quickly pay the $150 bond.
The Floridian will have missed his haircut by quite some time. His car was also towed from the scene, further adding to his inconvenience.
Super Speeder: In the state of Florida, passing the 100 MPH mark categorizes someone as a Super Speeder. In this case, the Florida man with no excuse hit 107 when he was clocked by the police. The officer had to really put their foot down to catch up and arrest him for his crazy antics.
The comments on the local police office Facebook are typically inane. But one person did ask the important question. They asked, “We need to know the barber, tho, haircuts must be DARN good.” The speeding man obviously was willing to risk it all for a fresh trim. He must be worth the effort.
