What is this world coming to when a man can’t even drive drunk a kid’s Barbie Jeep to the store to pick up Slurpees for the boys?

The man, wearing shades and a solid mustache, was spotted driving a pink Barbie Jeep down 15th Avenue in Prince George, British Columbia. He was hugging the curb, and his friend was walking beside him. The little plastic toy was hardly moving faster than a crawl.
Cuff Him: Now, I know what you’re imagining, right? A high-intense police chase through the streets with the police emptying 300 rounds into the small toy and deploying six spike strips. But the Barbie Jeep was equipped with plastic wheels and impervious to the spikes. Well, real life is a bit more mundane than our imaginations. No, there were no police police pit maneuvers into a small pink Barbie Jeep to be had. In fact, the man willingly pulled over and gave his wrists to the police.
- Police, with nothing better to do, decided to flex their authority and arrest him. Rather than pulling alongside the man and admonishing him, they slapped him in cuffs. It’s good to see taxpayers’ money going to valid places.
Boozy Barbie Jeep
The man explained that he had no idea that driving a kid’s toy was illegal. He was simply too lazy to walk to the store. A slow curb crawl in the Barbie Jeep seemed preferable to walking for Kasper Lincoln.

- “I never drove it before,” he explained, laughing after his arrest. “I was using the hand signals and everything.”
A bystander filming the ridiculous waste of taxpayer money couldn’t believe what they were seeing. In the video, which has since gone viral, she can be heard expressing his shock at the obscene arrest. But, as a lawyer not connected to the case explained, “You are required to have a driver’s license in British Columbia if you’re operating any motorized vehicle on the roadway. That includes Barbie cars, toy cars, electric skateboards — anything like that. It is required to have a license and insurance.”
So, it might be a waste of police time and a bummer for the lazy Barbie Jeep driving man, but they’re within their rights.
