A Northern Ireland woman just wanted to buy a blender off a classified ad to get better nutrition for her mother with stage 4 esophageal cancer. She got the blender gratis, and now a crowdfunding campaign to help her mother is going viral.

BuzzFeed reports she asked the seller if she could pay via PayPal and if she could get it shipped to London. She mentioned why she was getting it. That’s when she got some great news.
“I’m sorry to hear that your mum [has] cancer. Just send me your address. I will post it [to] you and you don’t have to pay for it,” wrote the unidentified seller.
She responded that she was willing to pay, then learned that the seller actually bought a new one for her.
“Don’t say thanks to me,” the seller wrote. “Infact [sic] thanks to you for giving me the opportunity.”
She shared the story on Facebook, and it went viral, as did her GoFundMe campaign for her mother’s treatment, which has shot up to £11,815 as of Tuesday morning.
“We never could have imagined that our GoFundMe page would be picked up due to the viral goodwill story, it is just incredible,” reads a message posted on the page late last week. “The money raised so far really will make such a huge difference, as we can now afford to look at treatments that we could never otherwise have afforded.”
