Obama was the punch line of 288 monologue jokes by Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Craig Ferguson, and Jimmy Kimmel during the first half of 2012, according to a new study.
Second place: Embattled New York City mayoral candidate and celebrity texter Anthony Weiner, subject of 120 jokes. (Weiner is likely to close the gap the longer he stays in the race.)

During the 2012 election, error-prone Republican candidate Mitt Romney topped the late-night joke survey, the target of twice as many jokes as the incumbent President Obama.
