On July 16, 2016 fans flocked to the United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, VA to see their idol, Gwen Stefani live in concert.

But, little did they know that they were in for a real big surprise.

During the show, Blake Shelton joined his rock star girlfriend onstage to perform the couple’s heartfelt duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”
In the fan-captured video above, Blake practically serenades Gwen, as he sings and strums along with his acoustic guitar to the first verse. To add to the sweetness, the “Misery” singer gazes at Blake with passionate eyes before they belt out the chorus in unison.
Blake has been trying to catch many of Gwen’s concerts since she launched her This is What the Truth Feels Like tour on July 12. The country crooner even supported his main squeeze on opening day of the tour proving that he’s oh so in love with his girlfriend.
Unfortunately though, Blake can’t make every single one of his Gwen’s shows. And Gwen proved that when she appeared on the Today show on July 15. There, she joked with fans that her beau was on his way to the Plaza. That tease was enough to get every body waiting in hopes that Blake and Gwen would take the stage together.

Thankfully Gwen’s silly tease didn’t last long.
And, seeing the two croon together on their co-penned song was definitely worth the wait!
