Bad Bunny Speaks Out
Rapper Speaks Out: Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez, recently appeared on Saturday Night Live. He targeted his haters during his opening monologue. Here’s what he had to say.
- “You might not know this, but I’m doing the Super Bowl halftime show and I’m very happy and I think everyone is happy about it – even Fox News,” Bad Bunny said.
- “Thank you. Wow, thank you. But really, I am very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy.”
The rapper then spoke in Spanish, addressing the Hispanic community.
- “Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors,” he said.
- “It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”
- “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,’ he said. ‘It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history,” he said.
Finally, he had a word of advice for his haters. He said, “If you did not understand what I just said… you have four months to learn!”
Trump plans to deploy ICE agents at the NFL after the announcement. It’s safe to say the Super Bowl will be politically charged.
