The Details: This past Monday, Somerville was once again clad in irons. While he has a solid two-year record of being trouble-free, he seems to have broken his streak. Instead, he went on Facebook to share his side of the story.

- In the post, Somerville argued that his daughter was a “full-blown weed addict” who had come to his home “in withdrawal,” haggling with him for money.
- Despite his attempts to calm his daughter, Somerville claims nothing worked, and it led to a physical altercation.
His daughter fled the scene, and Somerville called his ex-wife to inform her of what had just occurred.
Former Anchor Arrested For 4th Time
The former anchor’s ex-wife asked him to come to her home, in case their daughter chose to visit her as well. When Somerville arrived at her house, the police were there waiting for him. After the altercation took place, Somerville’s daughter called the police. However, she told officers that she did not want to press charges.
- Despite the former anchor being arrested for the 4th time over the altercation, he was quickly released on bail.
While alcohol had been the issue in many of Somerville’s previous arrests, he stands firm, saying that he was sober at the time of the interaction with his daughter. He recently reached nine months of sobriety and has no intention of stopping.
- “I love my daughter more than anything in the world,” he claimed. “I would never deliberately try to hurt her. But bad things happen in battle. I can only hope my daughter gets treatment.”
