A 61-year-old woman opened her front door only to be choked by a bra — how she survived is also bizarre

A 61-year-old woman from Lexington, Kentucky opened her front door thinking it was her granddaughter who was making a ruckus, but the next thing she knew she was being strangled by an apparently drug-fueled woman who thought she was being followed.

31-year-old Ashley Sies has been charged with first degree burglary after entering Patricia Leece’s home and attempting to strangle her with a bra, KPLR reported.

Leece says the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. and that she fought off her attacker for 15 or 20 minutes before picking up “one of her chickens” and “bashing her over the head with it.”

This is the chicken:

Sies conked out and Leece called the police.

“She was going door to door hoping someone would let her in. Of course it was me,” Leece said, rolling her eyes. “I thought I was going to die that night.”

She did not die and she has her trusty chicken to thank for it.

Leece only suffered cuts and bruises during the bizarre incident.
