After her public struggle with getting pregnant, Tyra Banks shows off her little peanut for the first time

TV personality and model Tyra Banks gave the world a first glimpse of her newborn child this weekend, after she posted an artsy model shot on Instagram.

“This is the happiest Valentine’s Day of my life,” Banks wrote on Instagram.

Banks’ son York was born earlier this year via a surrogate, after Banks had tried and failed for years to get pregnant.

In 2015 she opened up about those struggles and gave comfort to other women with the same issue.

“I’ve had some not happy moments with that, very traumatic moments,” she told People.

“It’s difficult as you get older. It’s not something that can just happen.”

On Jan. 27, Banks formally welcomed her child with photographer Erik Asla into the world with a memorable Instagram post.

“He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world,” Banks wrote.
