Fox News host Sean Hannity, who loves to forget that he himself is a member of the media, went head over heels when President-elect Donald Trump gave what he called “A total beatdown of the alt radical left mainstream media.”
During a press conference on Wednesday, Trump and incoming White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer criticized Buzzfeed for reporting on unverified accounts of the president-elect’s activities.
Trump also got in a shouting match with Jim Acosta, CNN’s senior White House correspondent.
“You are fake news,” Trump yelled. Acosta responded by asking if he could have a chance to ask a question, since Trump attacked the news organization. Trump said that he would not. The men exchanged more words in kind.
Hannity then tweeted how he felt after watching the exchange:
“I said in 08′ ‘Journalism is dead’. Now it’s buried!!” he said, congratulating Trump and himself.
Riding his own high, a witty Hannity also tweeted a jab at Donna Brazile and CNN:
Brazile was implicated in sneaking debate questions to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in two separate WikiLeaks emails. However, CNN promptly terminated its relationship with her upon the realization, denying that they gave Brazile the questions.
Hannity previously suggested that Trump should nix the White House Press Office.
