When it comes to reconciling with soon-to-be ex-wife Christina El Moussa, Tarek El Moussa isn’t ruling out the possibility.

“Maybe, like, 10 years from now,” he told Entertainment Tonight when asked. “Honestly, it took a lot of work to get in a good place for both of us, that I think we are at the point where we aren’t looking back, we are looking towards our future. I don’t know where the future is going to take me, but you never know.”
The couple separated after a May 2016 incident that occurred at their then-shared California home. In November, Tarek officially filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. Despite it all, he still thinks of Christina as his best friend.
“If I look back, we were absolute best friends, we were soulmates,” he said. “We were arm-in-arm and for many, many years, we were the couple that other couples would be jealous of. All the married friends would say, ‘Man, you guys are the best, you get along so well,’ and over time, it just started to fade.”
The El Moussas share 6-year-old daughter Taylor and 18-month-old son Brayden. In addition to co-parenting, they are committed to continuing to film their hit HGTV show “Flip or Flop” together.
“There are good days, bad days, but, you know, it’s our job,” Tarek said. “We love what we do, so we fight through it. We know what we have to do to support our family and continue our career.”
