Lamar Odom confessed that before he entered rehab, he was “basically committing suicide”

Lamar Odom is opening up about the “dark place” he fell into before his 2015 overdose at a Nevada brothel.

Odom appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “The Doctors,” where he talked openly for the first time about his past.

“I wasn’t in a good place mentally before that incident happened,” he told Dr. Travis Stork.

Odom continued and opened up about his relationship with ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian.

“My wife at the time […] we were going through some things and I was in a dark place,” he admitted.

Odom believed that going away for treatment helped him overcome his demons. Being away helped him focus on his own health in order to get better.

“The only place to go from where I was at is being dead,” he said. “I have committed suicide enough already.”

The show reportedly followed Odom during his 30 day treatment to overcome addiction, and he maintains that he is doing everything he can to stay sober.

“I want to get high off of life now,” Odom said. “I want to really feel like how it is to live sober.”
