The country superstar, who just showed up looking stunning in her Calia swimwear on the cover of “Us Weekly,” knows some folks may not like the way she looks right now.

Carrie tells “ET Canada,” “There’s probably people that are like, ‘Man, she needs to go eat something.'”

A lot of those same people would have said Carrie was too heavy a decade ago when she won “American Idol.” It just goes to show you can’t please everyone.

“It’ll happen no matter where you’re at in your journey,” Carrie says. She adds, “It’s fine either way, because I’m happy with myself.”

Working out is something Carrie actually enjoys as she juggles her intense Storyteller Tour dates with being a mother to her son, Isaiah.

She explains, “It’s just a part of my routine, it’s what I do, but I’m normal like everybody else. I’ve got my job, I’ve got my kid, and we just kind of work around things.”

For now, Carrie and her crew are playing a few festival dates over the summer before kicking The Storyteller Tour back into high gear starting in September.
