CCTV footage of an alleged serial killer was found, but he was already known to police for pulling a rather interesting ‘White Chicks’ style crime spree.

In 2021, Rockim Prowell, 30, of Inglewood, was arrested on a traffic stop. He was found to have some rather suspicious items in his car. Police quickly put two and two together and linked him to a series of burglaries.
Masked thief: Rockim was found guilty of multiple burglaries across the Los Angeles area. Over 30 were connected to him, but only after he was pulled over. In his car was found a mask that covered the full head, and included hair.
- When wearing the mask, Rockim, an African American, looked like a white guy instead. While wearing it, he was completely impossible to identify. CCTV footage was useless while he had the ‘White Chicks’ style full head mask on.
Police could now tie the man to his crimes. However, burglary was only the beginning for the man.
Masked Man Begins Serial Killer Murder Spree
Now, at the age of 34, Rockim has been arrested on charges of the murder of two men. He allegedly met them on dating apps, met up with them, and then stabbed them to death. The two murders happened in 2021 and 2023.
- The first victim was found shot to death. His body was found in the Angeles National Forest. The second victim was never found, but his car was found in Rockim’s garage.
He is also suspected of meeting a third man, tying him up, beating him with a bat, and robbing him.
Already on Probation: Rockim was already on probation before he was charged with being a serial killer. He was serving probation for two of the previously mentioned burglaries. He is still suspected of around 30 more.
- It’s unclear whether the serial killer used his white person face mask to commit the killings.
Now, Rockim is being held on a $2 million bail. He is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, plus carjacking, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon.
