Quinn Scarvey discovered last week she had a lot of credit left on her meal card at the university.

She asked permission to use that credit to feed the hungry since she was getting ready to graduate.

Scarvey contacted a local soup kitchen, which spread the word.

“I’m just delighted about this in my last week of college. I’m hoping I will leave some footprints for people to follow next year,” Scarvey said.

She said after graduation she hopes to become an elementary school teacher.
