How one children’s hospital is doing more for their kids

At Dell Childrenʼs Medical Center in Texas, itʼs all about the kids. Like so many worthy causes, it takes a substantial amount of money to keep their treatment and research facilities top-notch. The Dell Childrenʼs Trust, however, has come up with a cool fundraiser that involves children in the community.

Children were invited to come to the Art of Giving Back event at the hospital and paint their own works of art, which will be auctioned off to help kids who are ill.

These masterpieces sell for anywhere from $100 to $10,000 each, for an expected total of around $50,000 this year. The money raised goes to help the hospital with the Child Life Art and Music Therapies endowment. These services help reduce stress levels to make children feel more comfortable during a stay in the hospital.

This event was a great way to introduce kids to philanthropy and show them that giving back is fun! What better way to teach kids to give back?
