In a year where Rory Feek has put a brave face on following the death of his wife Joey, March 4, 2017, was ultimately going to be a sad day.
And it certainly is.

Rory is sharing his grief with countless other Joey+Rory fans right now via a series of Facebook pictures. The first picture features Joey sitting on a swing with some of the dear girls she loved the most, including her baby girl Indiana. The caption simply reads, “remembering you.”
The next picture is a heartbreaking one of Joey’s grave, which sits just steps from Rory and Indiana’s Tennessee home. The words above the pic simply read “missing you.”

The final pic shared on the morning of Joey’s death was the most heartbreaking – a simple and subdued pic of Joey+Rory and a pic that effortlessly captured the love between the two of them. This time, the words simply state, “loving you.”
We send our continued condolences to Rory and all the family, friends and fans who still find themselves missing and loving Joey on this sad day.
