But, it was 15-year-old Aliyah Moulden and her opponent of the night, Dawson Coyle, 18, who really lit up the stage.

The Team Blake singers performed a powerful duet of “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina & The Waves. Dawson opened up the song with the first verse and looked sharp in a blazer and bow tie. He even showed off his charm by twirling his challenger around on the floor.
Though Dawson had an ability to make girls swoon, Aliyah didn’t let him outshine her. She flashed her beaming smile and danced along to the spunky beat in her purple dress. She also flaunted her strong vocals and gorgeous rasp.
Even though the two were pitted against each other, it was clear that they had a natural and almost contagious chemistry onstage – something coach Alicia Keys noticed right away!
“The chemistry was amazing,” she praised happily. “Aliyah you have a great, awesome presence. Dawson, you just totally have a charisma to you that I love.”
Gwen Stefani complimented Dawson for being “brave.” She also gushed over Aliyah’s “confidence” and “energy” at such a young age. As for Adam Levine, he said Aliyah was memorable from the blind auditions, but admitted he wanted to hear more from Dawson.

As hard as it was for Blake to choose between the two singers, he made his decision based off his gut. He chose to keep Aliyah on his team. Blake’s resolution left Dawson up for grabs. So, coach Alicia wasted no time hitting her buzzer! She stole Dawson for her team, making it the first steal of the night.
If these two keep bringing the heat, we can only imagine they’ll be two to beat in the end! Watch Dawson and Aliyah’s energetic performance above!
