After a week that saw millions upon millions sign up for the gaming app, the servers went down, unable to handle the mass amounts of activity.

Fans of the game immediately took to social media to express their shock and horror that the game was broken…and wonder what on earth they were going to do with their lives on a Saturday morning?

“Pokemon Go servers are down,” GQ Entertainment Editor Freddie Campion wondered.

“So now I’m just standing outside on a beautiful summer day for nothing.”

Others turned to GIFS and memes to accurately expressed their sadness. Popular streamer Castro1021 took the page that showed the server was down, and turned it into a popular sad Michael Jordan meme.

At least one user admitted that she was only using Twitter as a ways to see when the game would be live again.

is down now I’m forced to do something else on my phone… Hello Twitter (I’m secretly just here for server updates),” user Nancy Jurado wrote.

The crash seems to have occurred after the app was made available in over twenty new countries.

As of 11:00AM , the global nightmare continued.
