Bill Nye is trading in science for a little bit of horror and thriller. Peacock recently gave a first look at Nye’s new exciting series, The End Is Nye, which is said to focus on “the most epic Global disasters imaginable.”

The show is set to premiere on August 25th and will explore several natural and unatural disasters with Nye exploring and looking at them in a scientific way. He will show viewers how we can mitigate, survive, and maybe even prevent disasters overall. Will Nye be the one that saves us from climate change? Who knows, but I’m sure excited to watch him on my screen again!

Not only is our favorite Science Guy hosting the new show, but he will also serve as an executive producer. Each episode will feature a brief cameo by science advocate and executive producer Seth MacFarlane. Nye will explore the terror and mystery of specific disastrous threats in hopes of offering a scientific way to avoid them. It will be similar to Nye’s shows Bill Nye Saves the World and Bill Nye the Science Guy.

“Right now our world is a very scary place, and yet full of opportunities to make life better for all of us — for everyone on Earth,” Bill Nye stated. “Speaking of Earth, the big idea behind The End Is Nye is that for the first time in the history of our planet, we humans can control our fate. We can see the potential for these overwhelming disasters, and we have the means to avoid them. With science, we can change the world.”

The End is Nye was created by MacFarlane, Nye, and Brannon Braga. It is executive produced by all three, including Erica Huggins.
