Jenner has made headlines throughout 2015 for going public with his desire to transition into a woman.
The cover of the July issue bears the phrase “Call Me Caitlyn,” a nod to the name that Jenner will wish to be called.
Within the issue, Jenner opens up to writer Buzz Bissinger, telling him that she isn’t “doing this to be interesting. I’m doing this to live.”

After having surgery to make her face more feminine, Jenner recounts to Bissinger that there were initial doubts.
“What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?” she asked.
Had she not admitted to herself and the world her true identity, Jenner doesn’t believe she would have been able to say she had lived the life she was worthy of.
“I never thought in a million years I would ever have to divulge such private, intimate feelings I’ve had all my life,” Jenner says in the July issue.
“I was also so excited to get it off my chest. Scared but excited.”
After the photo and accompanying article were released, Jenner tweeted out her appreciation of the support she is receiving from around the world.
“I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self,” she said.
“Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”
