A man and woman were kicked off a Houston-bound United Airlines flight for making racist comments to a Pakistani couple.
The couple, who news network KHOU says were dressed in “traditional cultural attire,” were putting their carry-on bags in the overhead compartments when the man in question asked the couple if they had a “bomb” in their bag.
They did not acknowledge the comment. The man asked a second time.
Other passengers watched the whole exchange and alerted flight attendants, who acted quickly to have the man removed from the plane. All of it was captured on video by a passenger seated behind the man.
“Happy flight home. Hope you stay there!” said the man as he was escorted off the plane. The woman with him held up her middle finger to everyone on the plane as they left.
“I’ll come back, you’ll be gone!” said the man.
Passengers seemed relieved to have the man off the plane, cheering as the two of them exited. Some cheered “Goodbye, racist!” and some exclaimed this wasn’t “Trump’s America!”
