Uber driver Tm Lett is clearly a man who listens to his passengers, and he gave up a kidney as evidence.

One of his passengers, Bill Sumiel, was in need of a kidney, sharing the story with Sumiel as they rode. It was just mentioned mostly in passing, it seemed. But Lett took it to heart.
“If you’ll take my name and number, I’ll give a kidney to you,” Lett told Sumiel, via WPVI.
The ride took place in near Sumiel’s hometown of Salem, N.J. He actually was getting a ride from the hospital, where he was undergoing dialysis treatment.
“On the car ride I tell him of my dilemma,” Sumiel said. “About halfway home after talking the whole way and slowly becoming friends, Tim tells me that ‘I think God must have put you in my car.'”
Letts, 33, is an Army veteran and was determined to be plenty healthy enough to give Sumiel the gift of a kidney.
“Giving a kidney is the gift of life and I feel so fortunate to have that gift,” Sumil said. “I can almost live my life back to normal. …
“I know miracles have happened in the past. Maybe they never happened to me, maybe they have. But now I really have those beliefs reinforced.”
Interestingly, this was Letts’ final ride before quitting and returning to Germany, where he still lives. But he and Sumiel have every intention of staying in touch.
After all, they are now connected for the rest of their lives.
