On Friday’s episode of “The View,” former MLB star Alex Rodriguez officially confirmed his budding relationship with Jennifer Lopez and had nothing but good things to say about his new beau.

“It’s obvious. We’ve been having a great time,” he said. “She’s an amazing, amazing girl. One of the smartest human beings I’ve ever met and also an incredible mother.”
The pair was romantically linked earlier this month with speculations about their relationship swirling. Neither Rodriguez nor Lopez shied away from the public eye, as they were spotted on numerous dates and on vacation together. They have much in common, including both being from New York and being parents. Rodriguez is dad to daughters Natasha, 12, and Ella, 8. Meanwhile, Lopez shares 8-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“It’s obvious, we’ve been having a great time,” the former Yankee said. “She just likes the simple things. I mean, she’s a very, very simple person. Loves family. Is a great sister. Is a great daughter.”
Before their new romance was in the spotlight, Lopez was reportedly seeing rapper Drake, while Rodriguez had just recently broken up with Silicon Valley tycoon Anne Wojcicki.
