It looks like there won’t be a rematch between Justin Trudeau and Matthew Perry any time soon.

In a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Perry revealed that when he was in elementary school, he once beat the Canadian Prime Minister up in a playground fight.

“His dad was the prime minister, but I don’t think that’s the reason we beat him up. I think he was the only kid in school we could beat up,” Perry joked to the host.

Trudeau apparently caught wind of the tale and took to Twitter to challenge the “Friends” star to a rematch.

“I’ve been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn’t wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch,” Trudeau wrote on Saturday.

Perry was quick to respond (and wave the white flag) on his own Twitter the following day.

“I think I will pass at your request for a rematch kind sir (given that you currently have an army at your disposal),” Perry responded.

When it comes to fighting, it sounds like Perry was a one hit wonder.
