It’s not often that the presidents and first ladies of the past come together under one roof, but you can expect to see as much during a presidential inauguration.

The former presidents and first ladies gathered under one roof in order to make their way to the inaugural festivities on Capitol Hill on Friday morning.

Current First Lady Michelle Obama and incoming First Lady Melania Trump walked out together in their own limousine, followed by current Vice President Joe Biden and incoming Vice President Mike Pence, as well as current President Barack Obama and incoming President Donald Trump.

Former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Hillary followed, with former president George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura just behind them.

But when the Clintons walked on the screen, CNN commentators offered up a brutally honest reality of the use of the split-screen footage:

I have to say, that moment, it gave me the chills. Not for any reason other than it’s just a reminder that nobody ever knows what their fate is going to be. And to literally see Donald Trump walk out the door with President Obama get into his car to go to his inauguration, and Hillary Clinton with her husband who was president, knowing she will never be at the very same time. Wow.
