Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are just two of the 40 country superstars appearing in the country video that just broke the internet. They join Alan Jackson, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan and a host of other stars on “Forever Country,” a collaboration celebrating the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards coming up Nov. 2.

Even though they’re stars in their own right, Tim and Faith approached this project as huge country music fans, too. “Forever Country” is a mashup of John Denver’s “Take Me Home Country Roads,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.” Just like all of us fans, Faith admits she got really emotional seeing and hearing all those iconic voices on one song.

She says, “The idea was such a great idea, then it was an honor to be asked to be a part of this group of people that I’ve admired and learned from and listened to my entire career and continue to do so, but then once I heard the song all put together, the three songs put together, it did make me cry.”

Tim adds that he and Faith were both excited to join the project after they got wind of it earlier this year.

He says, “We grew up listening to country music and all the people that are involved are people that we love and people we loved 10 years ago, 20 years ago and today. And gosh, even 30… 40 years ago — some of the artists that are sitting on this. It was just one of those special times in history.”

We’ll be looking for Tim and Faith to appear on the 50th Annual CMA Awards coming up Nov. 2 on ABC. Now, let’s take another look at that amazing “Forever Country” video.
