The beauty of working from home is that, as long as the work gets done, home can be wherever it needs to be. One MLB fan has taken it to extremes, finishing up his working day while watching the game.

Typically, if I want a break from sitting in my apartment to work, I’ll pop to a cafe or a bar somewhere. The change of scenery is usually the inspiration kick I need, and I always get my work day done. It’s the modern world, why confine ourselves to soulless cubicles, slowly watching our lives drain away within four beige walls?
But heading to an MLB game to continue working seems like it might not be the best idea. Not because it’s exciting or distracting, it’s baseball, but due to the hazards. Flying beer could ruin your laptop. A spotty internet connection could lose hours of work. And, in this case, the guy on the Jumbotron camera could rat you out, working in the stands of an MLB game.
A Commendable Work Ethic
While many people may criticize the man caught working at the MLB game for not confining himself to a traditional working space, I think he’s going above and beyond for his employer. Rather than pull a sickie or some other excuse, he’s willing to split his time. Sure, he’s out there having fun, but he’s crunching numbers too.

The days of the sterile office are over for most. Productivity, happiness, and job satisfaction have skyrocketed since WFH was introduced. Now, like this guy, we can work from where we’re happy. People were unproductive in the office; those people will be the same out of it. If working from an MLB game is where the juices get flowing, then more power to the guy.
Sadly, the chap in the footage captured at the MLB game has his face all over the internet now. Hopefully, this won’t spell the end of his career, and his boss will understand. Although he may have just been bringing his laptop to the MLB game to polish up his fantasy football team, and not working at all.
