Canadian-American singer Paul Anka, an immensely popular crooner of the 1960s and 1970s, has been tapped to sing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” during the 2017 presidential inaugural ball. Anka will reportedly serenade President-elect Trump and future First Lady Melania Trump during their first dance as the first couple.

Many outlets reported on a post from gossip site Radar Online, which alleged Anka’s involvement.
Radar reported that Anka was “only too happy to do it for his longtime friend.” Anka reportedly rewrote the lyrics to “My Way” to be about President-elect Trump.
“While everyone else was running scared from performing at the inauguration, Paul stood fast,” a source told Radar. “He wasn’t about to be intimated by anyone!”
While the idea of a celebrity from the baby-boomer generation performing at Trump’s inauguration isn’t the craziest in the world, Anka’s camp has yet to confirm the singer’s involvement. Radar Online is owned by American Media, which also owns publications like the National Enquirer and The Globe.
