Nancy Pelosi may have elbowed away a little girl during a photo-op the other day. This apparently happened during the swearing in ceremony for Mexican-born Conservative Congresswoman Mayra Flores in the House of Representatives. Pelosi waves at someone then looks down at Flores’ daughter and pushes her to the side with her elbow.

The video has unsurprisingly gone viral with Republicans across the board accusing Nancy Pelosi of showing “her true colors.” Hence, Pelosi is being called a “witch” and a “bully.”
Rep. Mayra Flores subsequently took to Twitter to stand up for her daughter.
“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her,” she wrote. “She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen.
“No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!”
The moment is definitely awkward for Pelosi. Rep. Flores’ daughter just keeps looking forward and focusing despite the apparent elbow shove.
“It’s a great honor to welcome Congresswoman Flores to the Capitol and to the Congress of the United States with great congratulations,” Nancy Pelosi said at the Sunday ceremony. “And again, grateful for her leadership and her beautiful family who is here today.”
Mayra Flores, 30, recently won a seat in the House of Representatives via Texas’ 34th congressional district. She beat out Democratic contender Dan Sanchez in the June 14 special election, flipping the typically Democratic district to red.
Mayra Flores is the first Mexican-born congresswomen to be sworn in.
