Suddenly, Roseanne Barr is back in the news, speaking to every outlet that will give her a chance.

Most of it is for the purpose of promoting Cancel This, her new standup special on Fox Nation. In it, Barr rants against her own cancellation for what was perceived as a racist tweet.
That led to her being axed from a reboot of her popular ABC sitcom, Roseanne. The show carried on without her as The Connors.
In an interview with Fox News, she wondered why she was canceled, while late-night host Jimmy Kimmel received a pass after it was revealed he wore blackface during a skit with ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman.
During the interview with Fox, Barr said she was never given the chance to apologize for her tweet, then spoke directly to ABC.
Roseanne Barr Calls Out ABC
“You should have allowed me go on your other news shows, particularly those ones hosted by people who have done blackface and you never fired them, you should have let me go on there,” she said. “Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, they did blackface and you never even said it is wrong that you did that. And they just let that go.”
Both Kimmel and Silverman have apologized for their act, with Silverman calling it “aggressively stupid.” Meanwhile, Kimmel said in a statement that he has “evolved and matured” since the incident.
Kimmel also tweeted about Barr in 2018, at the time of her racism scandal. He seemed to be defending her, citing mental health issues.
“What @TheRealRoseanne said is indefensible, but angrily attacking a woman who is obviously not well does no good for anyone,” he wrote at the time. “Please take a breath and remember that mental health issues are real. The Roseanne I know could probably use some compassion and help right now.”
Nevertheless, that didn’t keep Barr from attacking him, and more so, ABC for keeping his show on the air.
