To celebrate the life and legacy of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, the Australia Zoo encourages every visitor to put on their khakis and join them for a day of fun!
In honor of the occasion, Irwin’s eldest daughter Bindi took to Instagram with a touching post about her late father.
“Celebrating Dad’s life and legacy with Steve Irwin Day this November 15th @australiazoo ? Encouraging everyone to wear a touch of khaki on this amazing day to remember all that Dad did for our world, inspiring us all to love wildlife and wild places. Thank you,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself as a toddler with Steve.
She also shared some of her fondest memories of her father on Twitter.

Steve Irwin died tragically in 2006 after he was attacked by a stingray. The celebration of his life brings his family and fans together each year.

The Australia Zoo, the place the Irwins call home, also marked the occasion with several posts in honor of the late, great “Crocodile Hunter.”
The family kept his legacy alive with crocodile feedings and conservation demonstrations. He would be so proud of all of their hard work!
