Chick-fil-A had no idea what this mom was going through when they gave her a free meal, but it meant the world to her

Carrie Chisolm had just spent hours at the hospital after her son experienced a medical emergency Monday due to a congenital heart defect.

After her son started feeling better, Chisolm stopped off at an Asheville, North Carolina Chick-fil-A to grab a bite to eat, but she forgot her wallet.

Have no fear, though, Chick-fil-A is here. The restaurant gave Chisolm a meal free of charge even though it had no idea what was going on in her life. Chisolm made sure to let Chick-fil-A, and the Facebook world, know what this act of kindness meant to her.

“They don’t know how much I needed that small act of kindness last night. Having a son with half of a heart is a tough life yet full of many blessings,” she wrote.

“Thanks for being a blessing to us last night!” she added.
