And during the March 19 race at Phoenix Raceway, things got extra hot not only on the track, but also on the radio.

As the drivers sweltered in in-car temperature that reached more than 140 degrees, fans noticed that there were a few drivers not too happy with one another – namely Ryan Blaney with NASCAR’s most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck tweeted out that Ryan was heard over the radio saying “Fuckin tires are gone, because the fuckin’ 88 car is a dick.”

Ryan later apologized on March 19 saying, “I called the 88 a bad word… I’m sorry.”

Yet, that didn’t keep Dale Jr. from throwing his fellow driver a little dig on Twitter on March 20, saying “The weather @ACSupdates this weekend should be in the 60s. So kids, it should be safe to listen to @Blaney scanner on Sunday.”
