Thomas Rhett and Lauren reveal the gender of one of their babies in this sweet video Instagram/@ThomasRhettAkins

Our heads have been spinning since Thomas Rhett and wife Lauren announced on Feb. 15 that they were adopting a baby from Africa, plus Lauren being pregnant with their first baby, due in August. And their heads are probably spinning, too.

Just days after they shared they were expecting, the couple also went to the doctor to find out the sex of the baby that Lauren is carrying. Apparently, they asked the doc to keep it confidential though so they could host their own trendy gender reveal party.

That party took place on Feb. 18, just three days after we found out they were expecting. T-Rhett and Lauren shared video on their respective Instagram pages of the magical moment when they sliced into a precious “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” cake to find out if it would be pink cake for a girl or blue cake for a boy.

With their friends and family, including Thomas Rhett’s famous daddy, Rhett Akins, nearby, the father-to-be had the honor of slicing into the cake for the reveal. But when the first sliced was dished up, we discovered that Thomas and Lauren would be welcoming a girl into their family.

The couple has not yet revealed the gender or age of the baby they’re adopting or when that precious bundle will be arriving exactly. Pictures on Lauren’s Instagram page show her with both little boys and little girls of all ages, however, one pretty little girl shows up over and over again, and Lauren even refers to her as “Baby Girl.”

It doesn’t much matter, though. They seem to have plenty of love for all!

Congratulations, Thomas Rhett and Lauren!
