Jimmy Fallon invited the crying piccolo player to the Tonight Show and gave her the memory of a lifetime

After a clip of Villanova University student Roxanne Chalifoux went viral, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon invited her to appear on his program.

Last week, a vine showing a teary-eyed Chalifoux exploded across the Internet, quickly inspiring hundreds of memes and tributes. Chalifoux was spotted crying while playing the piccolo after the Villanova men’s basketball team lost to North Carolina State, ending their season.

On Monday night, Chalifoux briefly sat in with the Roots on the Tonight Show, and spoke to Fallon about her unexpected viral moment.

“All I thought I did was cry on national television,” Chalifoux joked.

She said she was initially embarrassed that her dad would see her.

After giving Chalifoux a Tonight Show gift basket, Fallon then offered her two tickets to Taylor Swift’s upcoming “1989” world tour.
