The world has been obsessed with Robert Irwin lately — and I am in full support. Not only is he charming, funny, and continuing his father’s legacy, but now he’s also showing off his moves. - In their past performance, Irwin and Carson performed a Contemporary routine to the song “You’ll Be In My Heart,” by Phil Collins.
- The performance was dedicated to Robert’s mom, Terri Irwin.
Not A Dry Eye In The Room
The dark blue lighting set the stage as Robert and Witney began their dance. Full of lifts, leaps, and touching moments, the audience easily understood the piece’s purpose. In every moment of the routine where Robert “stumbled” or looked pained, his partner was there to lift him up or give him support — just as his mother had done his entire life.
The most touching moment of the piece was at the very end. As the lights dimmed on Robert and Witney, many thought the performance was over; however, that was not the case. As the lights slowly began to come back on, Robert’s mother stood where Witney had been moments ago.
Robert twirled his mother once before breaking down in tears and embracing her tightly. There was not a dry eye in the room after the tender moment.

If anyone didn’t like Robert Irwin’s DWTS tribute to his mother, I don’t trust them. After the raucous applause, Irwin received high marks from the judges. Not only that, but he has received a plethora of praise across the internet.
