Let’s face it. Shania Twain ruled the radio in the ‘90s and early 2000s. She appealed to the masses with countless No. 1 hits and established a new benchmark for females in country music. Heck, she could dazzle fans with her fashionable sense of style, too.
Although Shania has stepped out of the limelight from touring, she still continues to be a big inspiration for girls all over. Her powerful voice, epic flare and radiant personality burns bright.
On Aug. 28, Shania turns 51 years old. To pay homage to the superstar on her special day, we’ve put together a list of what we consider to be five times when Shania thoroughly impressed us with her sexy outfits, drop dead gorgeous looks and catchy country songs. Enjoy!
1.“ANY MAN OF MINE”
Shania donned a figure-hugging denim outfit in the video for her 1995 breakthrough hit, “Any Man Of Mine.” Her un-kept hair, flirtatious attitude and girl-next-door charm could pretty much make any man abide by her “heartbeatin’ fine treatin,’ breathtakin’ earthquakin’” kind of rules.
2. “THAT DON’T IMPRESS ME MUCH”
Back in 1998, Shania strutted down a desert road in a sassy, leopard printed ensemble. And, boy oh boy was she dangerous! She combined her look with some red-hot lipstick and sky high heels. Sorry Brad Pitt! This drop dead gorgeous diva was not impressed by even the meatiest of men.
3. “FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS”
The Canadian songbird went for the beach bunny look during her 2003 “Forever And For Always” video. She donned a stunning, peach-colored outfit that exposed her midriff. Heck, it’s a four-minute reason to remind us why we will “forever and for always” love this icon!
4. “MAN! I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN”
Perhaps this is one of Shania’s most memorable looks ever. The brunette star is fierce in her video for her 1999 chart-topper “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.” She floors us in her head to tow black jacket, thigh-high boots, top hat and veil. She abandons the coat midway through the song to reveal a smoking, cocktail dress, too!
5. “YOU’RE STILL THE ONE”
The romantic beach setting. The soaking, wet hair. The country superstar. Heck, what more is there to love in Shania’s 1998 video for “You’re Still The One”? Oh, we know — that incredibly handsome model that’s also featured in it! Yep. We were waiting for this hot couple to steal a kiss!
