An Instagram quasi-celebrity known as Kajaloffcial Kiran has apologized after posting video of her playfully kicking a dog and laughing.

Some have wondered whether it was playful. Others accused her of animal abuse. The dog has yet to comment.
But Kajaloffcial Kiran did after receiving the negative feedback from her followers. And probably deservedly so.
She called the dog over in the first place, acting as if she was holding something. The dog calmly approached her. And while it’s hard to tell whether her soft kick made contact, it wasn’t exactly an act of kindness, as the tricked pooch ran off.

Either way, Kiran seemingly eventually realized how classless her act truly was, and posted an apology.
“I regret my actions and didn’t realize the gravity at that point of time,” she wrote. “I vow to not harm any animals.”
As an aside, she posted several videos prior to this incident in which she was feeding and being polite to dogs. So this was all clearly just an act. But it was an act that didn’t go over very well, and we can be almost certain that Kiran won’t repeat.
