Mess with the bull and get the horns. Or in this case, mess with the raccoon and you’ll find out it’s not such an easy victory. Or actually, not a victory at all.

The scene took place in Texas, where a few raccoons were minding their business, looking for something to eat. Out of nowhere emerged a pack of coyotes, waiting to pounce.
Two of the raccoons made a quick getaway. A third was surrounded.
Raccoon Defends Itself Against Surrounded Pack of Coyotes
But that one didn’t go down without a fight, didn’t go down at all. Instead, it decided to fight, for its right, to not allow the coyotes to party.
As a matter of fact, it held its ground and seemingly convinced the coyotes to pick another fight. The raccoon growls, scratches, claws and doesn’t allow the coyotes to take a bite, try as they might. He eventually scoots off behind some brush, and the coyotes don’t really give chase. Or only do so half-heartedly.
Eventually, they decide that they might be able to find some easier prey and leave the vicinity. This fight, they found, was clearly not one worth picking.
What brave little victims! Also, shout out to raccoons for going viral this month! A few weeks ago a raccoon was recently spotted straddling a railway track. The raccoon was completely stuck because his testicles were frozen to the metal. Luckily, a railroad worker spotted him and helped him out of his…uh predicament.
