Actor Gary Busey has reportedly been charged with sexual offenses at a New Jersey fan convention earlier this month. The 78-year-old was charged on Friday, Aug. 19 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of harassment, and one count of attempted criminal sexual contact according to Cherry Hill Police.
The charges come from incidents that occurred at the annual Monster Mania Convention which took place at the DoubleTree Hotel from Aug. 12-14 in Cherry Hill. The convention celebrates horror films and memorabilia. The actor was scheduled as a featured guest for all three days of the event. Police officers were called to the convention “for the report of a sex offense,” according to a Facebook statment.
No other details have been released by authorities. It is not clear whether the actor has an attorney in order to comment on the charges. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing and police are searching for additional information on the case.

Busey is well known as a character actor who has appeared in more than 100 filma. Some of his acting credits include Rookie of the Year, Predator 2, Lethal Weapon, Under Siege, and Point Break. He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in 1978 for the film The Buddy Holly Story.
Back in 1995 the actor also faced several drug charges after authorities found narcotics, including cocaine in his Malibu home. He was charged with three counts of possession of marijuana, one count of cocaine, being under the influence of cocaine, and possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
He has also been arrested on charges of spousal abuse and was accused of sexually assaulting a female employee during the 2011 season of Celebrity Apprentice.
In 2016 a female employee spoke to the Daily Beast about the incident, noting, “We were smoking cigarettes outside, and Busey was standing next to me and then at one point, he grabbed me firmly between my legs, and ran his hand up my stomach, and grabbed my breasts.”
She continued, “I didn’t know what to do. So I made this joke that, ‘Oh, I’ve never been sexually harassed by a celebrity before!’ Then he grabbed my hand and put it [over] his penis, and said, like, ‘I’m just getting started, baby.’”
Wow I realize that his traumatic Brain injury has radically changed his personality since I am Direct Care Professional for TBI clients but we do not allow them to touch us in a sexual way and when they try we redirect them with ” That is not okay!” I do not give you permission to touch me!” Gary needs go be in a drug and alcohol program and on precription meds to slow down his behaviors.
