That’s right, people. Love ’em or hate ’em, the Spicy Chicken McNuggets are back.

McDonald’s already rolled out the Spicy nuggets in the UK, and will now be making them available at about 6,900 locations throughout the US, according to USA Today. There are about 13,500 stores across the nation, so that means right around half will offer the spicy side of McNuggets.

Spicy McNuggets Return!

McDonald’s introduced McNuggets back in 1983, though the spicy ones didn’t come into play until 2020. Again, that was for a limited time. The same applies to today’s Spicy McNuggets. They won’t be around forever.

“The nuggets are breaded with a tempura coating made of cayenne and chili peppers, and the sauce combines crushed red pepper, spicy chilis and garlic,” USA Today wrote.

Dipping sauces will vary by location, per USA Today, but it should be noted that the Szechuan Sauce has been a smash hit since about March. That too will be available only for a limited time at select locations. The Szechuan Sause is said to have a savory and sweet taste with things of ginger, mild vinegar, garlic, and show. It first made its debut back in 1998 as their promotion for Disney’s film “Mulan.”

The best way to see if the McDonald’s nearest you carry the Spicy McNuggets is to download the app.

Though that’s not the only reason to get the app. You can also get a free Big Mac if you do. And nothing says America quite like a Big Mac, with perhaps, a side of Spicy McNuggets. After your first purchase, you can then get another free item of choice including a Vanilla Cone, a Cheesburger, a Hashbrown, or a McChicken.
