President Trump addressed the National Governors Association’s winter meeting.
There, Trump spoke of his plan to increase the budget for military spending.
The president expressed his concern for the military not “winning” any more.
Trump promised to rebuild the “depleted military” and promised to explain more during his State of the Union address on Tuesday.
“We must ensure that our courageous servicemen and women have the tools they can be to deter war, and when called upon to fight in our name, only do one thing: Win,” he said. “We have to start winning wars again.”
Trump continued on his segment, saying that when he was younger, America won wars.
“We never win, and we don’t fight to win. We don’t fight to win. We’ve either got to win or don’t fight it at all”
